By now, you have probably heard of the term that girl that has taken social media by storm the last few years. If your Tik Tok or Instagram feeds haven’t been filled with aesthetic & trendy videos of perfectly curated daily routines where have you been?!
That Girl is confident, healthy, happy and living her absolute best life every day. Her skin is glowing, her style is chic, she takes care of her mind, body & soul. But most importantly, she is attainable to all of us. That Girl is just your next level self. Whoever you want her to be.
Here are some easy steps you can take to create your own “That Girl” routine:
Wake Up Early
Waking up early gives you more time for yourself in the morning and truly sets a positive tone for the rest of your day. No more snoozing your alarm and rushing out the door in a stressful craze. You don’t need to wake up at 5am, just pick a time that works best for you and aim to be consistent with it.
Hydrate
Start your day by drinking a big glass of water or warm lemon water to hydrate your body and boost your metabolism right when you wake up. Do this before your morning coffee if possible!
Exercise
Moving your body in the morning can help you feel energized and focused for the rest of the day. And the best part is you get it over with before most of the world is even awake! Even a 10-15 minute workout can make a huge difference.
Practice Mindfulness
We aren’t called the Mindful Babe for nothing! Take a few minutes to meditate, journal, or practice gratitude to set a positive mindset for the day. The days I don’t do this I notice such a difference in my entire day…and it isn’t in a positive way! Even just sitting quietly and meditating for 10 minutes will change your life for the better!
Fuel Your Body
Eat a nutritious breakfast that includes protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates that will fuel your body and brain for the rest of the day. I love making easy delicious fruity smoothies, avocado sourdough toast with an egg on top or oatmeal with fresh bananas in it!
Take Care of Your Appearance
Ever heard of the saying “when you LOOK good you FEEL good”? It really couldn’t be more true. Think of how great you feel when you are wearing a super cute new outfit or you just got your hair done. You feel unstoppable, right? This doesn’t mean you have to spend thousands of dollars on new clothes or run to your local esthetician and have your face stuffed with fillers (unless of course you want to, you do you boo)! Just taking a little extra time to get ready each day will help boost your confidence and self-esteem. Even just putting on a cute workout set or matching loungewear, doing your hair in something other than a messy bun, putting some mascara and CC cream on can make such a difference!
Plan Out Your Day
Take a few minutes to plan your day and prioritize your tasks. I cannot emphasize this enough!
